Founded in the early 1990s, Binekhi is one of Georgia's most renowned wine producers. The winery, located in the capital Tbilisi, produces excellent wines in limited quantities, combining a modern approach with traditional and ancient methods such as Qvevri, consisting of the use of underground terracotta amphorae for fermentation. The Binekhi winery owns approximately 90 hectares of vineyards, located in various areas of the country and cultivates native and international varieties.

The wine is made from Ojaleshi grapes, sourced from the Samegrelo region of western Georgia. This ancient Georgian grape variety is widespread throughout the country and can be used for the production of dry, semi-sweet and late-harvest dessert wines.

Binekhi Ojaleshi is a semi-sweet red that reveals a clear color tending towards light purple. Its aromatic profile is deliciously fruity with fresh notes of berries, especially strawberries, raspberries and blueberries. On the palate it is light, fresh and juicy, with a fruity flavor and a pleasant and harmonious sweet streak. It is well balanced and has a long and persistent finish that recalls notes of berries. Enjoy it now slightly chilled and pair it with some oriental cuisine dishes and red fruit tarts.
