The legendary Vasse Felix estate is a piece of Australian wine history thanks to the vision of founder Dr Tom Cullity who first planted vines here in the 1960s. Over the years Margaret River’s very first winery has morphed into one of the region’s top producers, making elegant white and red wines heavily influenced by the cool maritime climate.

This charming dessert wine is made from the Semillon grape with the fruit carefully harvested using the Cane Cut method. This means that each cane with fruit on it is removed from the vine and the whole cane is then left to hang until the fruit dries out and becomes raisins. This process concentrates the sugars and flavours in the wine, making it possible to produce a lusciously sweet and intense dessert wine.

In the glass you’ll immediately notice the deep golden hue and enticing notes of apricot, ripe peach and honey as well as hints of spice from the 5 months of ageing in French oak barrels. On the palate there is a rich sweetness carefully balanced by freshness and ripe orchard fruit notes. A great wine to enjoy instead of dessert or alongside fruity cheesecakes or chocolate puddings.
